Citation and open policy
Cite us. Reuse our work. Hold us to it.
These are the working rules for an institution that means to be open. They will be confirmed in the Institute’s governing documents once it is established.
How to cite this website
Please link to agxinstitute.org. Write the name in full the first time: AgriGENESIS X Institute (AGX).
How to cite a publication
Each publication carries a version number and, where one has been issued, a persistent identifier (DOI). Cite the DOI. If you cite the website, use the page title and the date you read it.
Open by default
- Publications are released under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International license (CC BY 4.0) unless a publication says otherwise. You may share and adapt them, including commercially, if you credit AGX and say what you changed.
- Data and code carry a license that is stated on each dataset or repository. If none is stated, ask before reusing.
- Names and logos are not covered by these licenses. See the media page and the legal notice.
Evidence standards
- Sources are named, so a reader can follow a claim back to where it came from.
- Assumptions are listed, and figures are traceable to a source or a stated method.
- Where evidence is thin, we say so.
- Estimates are labeled as estimates. Illustrations are labeled as illustrations.
Corrections
We correct errors openly, with a dated note at the point of correction. If you spot one, write to hello@agxinstitute.org. Corrections are acknowledged.
Knowledge security
Knowledge Security for Food Systems guides how we preserve sources, assess evidence and govern legitimate access. Some sources and data need protection, and we say when access is limited and why.
